This month, we celebrate a major milestone as the Federation of Liberian Mandingo Associations in the USA (FELMAUSA) marks its 25th anniversary of serving the Liberian Mandingo community across America.

A Quarter Century of Impact

Since its founding in 1999, FELMAUSA has grown from a small grassroots organization to a national network with chapters in over 20 states. Their achievements include:

  • Providing over $500,000 in educational scholarships
  • Supporting 1,200+ families during the COVID-19 pandemic
  • Organizing annual conventions that bring together 2,000+ community members
  • Establishing mentorship programs for young professionals

Looking Forward

FELMAUSA President Sarah Kamara shared: “Our next 25 years will focus on digital innovation, youth engagement, and strengthening ties with our homeland while building bridges in our adopted communities.”

Congratulations to FELMAUSA on this remarkable achievement. Their success demonstrates the power of community organizing and collaborative action.
